Op maandagnamiddag is er geen levend model. Dit werk heb ik op twee maandagnamiddagen geschilderd naar een oude sepia foto van een anonieme fotograaf.
Pfff... niet gemakkelijk met kleur werken!
Gelukkig zet de leerkracht me verder op weg als ik 'vast' zit.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenEcht mooi, en inderdaad niet gemakkelijk naar foto schilderen. Wat me ook verwonderde is het feit dat het schilderij fris blijft wat niet zo vanzelfsprekend is op karton. Meestal vervuilen de kleuren op karton als het geen zuiver wit karton is. Vooral met acrylverf is het oppassen geblazen.

@Daniel: Het was ongeprepareerd grijs karton. Maar ik gebruik redelijk wat wit en dat houdt het fris, denk ik.

Annie, I'm dealing with a very poor laptop monitor at the moment, so it's much harder for me to look at paintings, but, from what I can see, you're doing wonderfully with paint and brush. I specially like the surface the figure is on, and how the hair blends into shadowed surface.

BeantwoordenVerwijderen@Jean: In the photo she lays on chairs with cushions. I did made a "simple" surface of it. The picture was rather 'flou', typical for retro pictures, that's why her hair blends into the shadow on the surface:-)
